Shalom,

As president of Shaarei Kodesh, I want to say hello, and welcome.  We, at Shaarei Kodesh, led by Rabbi Baum, are building a kehillah kedoshah, a holy community, where the members of the community are connected and relational.  We truly believe in this mission.  Our world has become so confusing, so fast-paced, that we are losing touch with the people standing right next to us.  This is where Shaarei Kodesh comes in!

We want to get to know the members of our community.  We want them to get involved!  It is amazing how many interesting experiences are stored in the person sitting next to you!  Jews have traditionally been forced into close quarters.  But as we spread out into the Diaspora, we need our synagogues more than ever to keep us close and provide us with that support system, the holy community, which has been a part of Judaism throughout the ages.

So come and join in!  There are so many fun and spiritual activities on top of full holiday and Shabbat services.  We have a Religious School, a Youth Group, Adult Learning, Hebrew Classes, Havdallahs, Shabbat Dinners, Kol Isha Women’s Group, a Book Club and the list goes on and on!  Bring your kids, bring your neighbors, bring yourself and let’s have this year be the year of relationships: our relationship with God and our relationship with each other!
